Fiction contract: its importance in simulation-based medical education

Simulation-based education has become an integral part of and training in high-risk professions disciplines such as aviation, aerospace, military, nuclear power plants, medicine healthcare. In the last decade, medical simulation globally emerged a powerful instructional technique across various specialties disciplines. Despite its increasing popularity advantages, simulation-based (SBME) poses unique challenge, that is, realism. This is where concept fiction contract or suspension disbelief comes into picture. this article we provide overview SBME including how can it be effectively addressed during training.
